Transcontinental Air Transport company with used Ford Tri Motor planes and passenger trains to transport people from New York to Los Angeles in 48 hours. The first stop on this journey was in
Columbus where travelers left a train and traveled to the new Port Columbus airport to begin the air segment of their trip. TAT was new and exciting. This inspired the name of the new restaurant.Read

was needed.Taste the Future is an event featuring culinary masterpieces from over 50 of central Ohioâs best establishments. The real stars of this event are the amazing chefs from around the
community who show off their remarkable culinary skills to over 1,000 guests.Taste the Future takes place on the downtown campus of Columbus State Community College and all proceeds from the event
fund scholarships and special projects. Every year the event helps hundreds of students build their future with a college education.Tuesday, September 16, 20085:30 - 9:00PMDowntown Campus, Columbus
State Community CollegeThrough the course of the interviews, we discovered that this event is heavily tied to the CSCC Hospitality Program. For example, the Hyatt's spread is chosen and prepared by
the apprentices with guidance from David Wolf; master and CSCC alum. This allows the guests to have first hand interaction with the result of the scholarship programs that they are helping to fund.
The 20 year history of the gala allows us to see some of the people who have come out of the CSCC Hospitality Program and where their careers have gone. We were fortunate enough to talk to 3 such
gentlemen: Matt and Charles Langstaff of Bexley Monk and Dave Wolf of Hyatt on Capitol Square Plaza Restaurant. (Note that during the course of the interview that I have a slip of the tongue and say
10 years of Taste of the Future when it should be 20.)Also, we get sidetracked discussing wood ovens again! Carol Kaiser took the time to give us a brief history lesson. She was the head of the
